One lucky RUMBLER (Anyone who comes to this site to RUMBLE The Rumble 5) will have a chance to win a Canon PowerShot SD1100 IS digital camera (a $180 value) for absolutely FREE! If you RUMBLE to the page that reads "CONGRATULATIONS! DO NOT RUMBLE AWAY FROM THIS PAGE UNTIL YOU FILL OUT THE FORM BELOW! You are the winner of a brand new Canon PowerShot SD1100 IS digital camera," all you need to do is fill out the form and I will contact you at the e-mail address you provide. Once I have all the information I need, I will ship out the prize and announce the winner at this Site. If you have any questions, please contact me, post your questions in the discussion board, or find me (nickname GNice) in the chatroom.

Website owners: looking for ways to promote your website for an extremely low price? No need to look further. The Rumble 5 offers the solution. With marketing budgets shrinking and the need to stretch your advertising dollar greater than ever, there's never been a better time to advertise at The Five Million Dollar Rumble.

There are currently 15 RUMBLE spots sold and 23,640 RUMBLES. That's presently about 6 cents a RUMBLE (Cost per click) and this value keeps on decreasing! You can see how this value keeps decreasing over time by reading my past blog entries. As more spots are sold, the bigger this website's "buzz," the greater the amount of visitors to your website and the cheaper the value of a single RUMBLE.

More fun contests coming up in the future.

Hope you enjoy!

Contest: New Banners

Friday, January 16, 2009 2:23 pm EST

In about a week from today, I am going to announce the time and date when the contest will begin. In the meantime, I am going to be working on the details of this contest as well as getting the word out, by word of mouth and online (websites, blogs, social networking and bookmarking sites, etc.) The prize is a Canon PowerShot SD1100 IS digital camera (a $180 value) FREE to one lucky RUMBLER. There are five cool colors to choose from. Anyone from anywhere has a chance to win. When the contest begins, all people who visit this site will be RUMBLING to get to the "You are a winner!" page. Once the winner RUMBLES to this page, a form should be displayed to fill out with your name, address, and any other necessary information I need to ship out the prize. I will announce the winner in the chatroom, blog, and discussion board (and make a winner section, displaying all the winners, what contests they have participated in, and the prizes they have won.)

My roommate has helped me finish designing the banners. I am going to place these banners on a few sites so people may be aware of this upcoming contest. If you would like to place these banners on your website, you are free to do so.

Check back soon for the next blog entry, which should have the information when the contest will start. In the future, I plan to have more fun contests, such as trivias in the chatroom, puzzles, and more RUMBLING games. The more spots sold, the greater and bigger the prizes. If you own a website and are looking for ways to promote it, now is a great time to purchase RUMBLE spots.

Also, if you have been visiting this website or any of Soma Studios' websites such as The Music Hutch and notice a lag or hard time loading the page, this is due to high traffic and the server being overwhelmed. Once I gain enough funds, first thing I will be doing is upgrading and updating the sites as that is the goal for this site, The Rumble 5. If you are planning on purchasing RUMBLE spots, and feel a bit "iffy" (skeptical) purchasing these RUMBLE spots due to the lag, no worries, I will get this fixed as soon as I can. It just requires some funding. As I've mentioned throughout the site, this website is guaranteed for a minimum of 10 years with the goal of having it much longer.

Hope you enjoy!

Contest

Wednesday, January 14, 2009 3:37 pm EST

In about a few days, all RUMBLERS (anyone who comes to this website to RUMBLE) will have a chance to win a prize, such as a digital camera, mp3 player, computer software/hardware, etc. just for RUMBLING The Five Million Dollar Rumble.

Here's how the contest works:
Anyone from anywhere has a chance to win. I will announce the prize and the time and date the contest will begin. Once the contest begins, people may RUMBLE their web browsers for a chance to RUMBLE to the "You are a winner!" page. This page will include a form to fill out with your name, address, and any other necessary information for me to ship out the prize. Once someone wins the prize, I will announce it in the RUMBLE chatroom, blog, and discussion board.

My roommate is currently helping me with designing The Rumble 5 banners to get the word out about this contest some more.

Website owners, now is a good time to purchase RUMBLE spots to promote your webpage! There are currently 18,974 RUMBLES. That's currently about 8 cents a RUMBLE (page view.) and this value keeps on decreasing. The earlier you make your purchase, the cheaper the overall RUMBLE value for you, and the more visitors to your website. You can see the results by viewing the Owner List & Live Stats link at the top frame. If you are planning to wait, the RUMBLE value will still be great, just not as great if you were to purchase a RUMBLE spot earlier. Kind of like the stock market.

In the future, I plan to have more contests with more prizes. As more spots are sold, the bigger the prizes. Check back at The Rumble 5 for further details about this upcoming contest.

Happy New Years! One order received

Monday, January 05, 2009 11:28 pm EST

As I arrived back home from the holiday season, I was curious to see if any RUMBLE spots were sold. To my surprise, one RUMBLE spot was purchased for $100! At this present moment, there are 15 RUMBLE spots sold and 13,424 total RUMBLES (page views), earning me a current total of $1,500. That now makes the value of a single RUMBLE about 11 cents. If you have been reading my earlier blog entries, you can see that the RUMBLE value is steadily decreasing as the overall traffic for The Rumble 5 is increasing, and as the overall traffic keeps on increasing, website owners who own RUMBLE spots at The Rumble 5 will also receive an increase in traffic. You can see the live results by visiting the Owner List & Live Stats link at the top frame.

At this point of time, I feel now is a good time to inform the press of the great news. Hopefully I get some feedback (Keeping my fingers crossed.)

As for Soma Studios and its current work, we are now working on an exciting new project. Most likely it will keep us busy for the next two months or so.

The Music Hutch traffic is also increasing and so are the server hosting costs. I am hoping The Rumble 5 will be able to cover these costs, so we may continue improving and working on Soma's current and new projects.

Below, I've constructed another music video playlist of music videos from The Music Hutch uploaded by its members.

Sold! Two more RUMBLE spots

Saturday, December 20, 2008 7:52 pm EST

One website owner has just placed an order for two RUMBLE spots. That's currently a total order of 14 RUMBLE spots ($1,400). This website (The Rumble 5) has been released 10 days ago and now has a total of 8,254 RUMBLES! That's currently around 17 cents a RUMBLE (page view.) Last week RUMBLES were valued at around 32 cents a RUMBLE. As The Rumble 5 is getting more and more popular overtime, I am estimating the RUMBLE value to be decreasing exponentially and valued at only a fraction of a penny.

I have been doing a lot of testing for this website on various browsers. One issue I have noticed is that your web browser will not RUMBLE if you are using the Google Chrome browser. This may be due to the Google Chrome browser still being in BETA stages.

Also, I have not tested The Rumble 5 on any Macintosh computers yet. If you come across any errors, please contact me or post them in the discussion board.

If you have been visiting The Rumble 5, or any of Soma Studio's websites, such as The Music Hutch, you may have been noticing a "lag." (This may happen at various times of the day and night.) This is due to the server being overwhelmed. Once I gain enough funds, first thing on my to-do list is to upgrade the servers.

Sold! 2 RUMBLE spots for $200

Monday, December 15, 2008 11:42 am EST

I have received two new RUMBLE spot purchases. Two website owners each purchasing one RUMBLE spot for $100. There are currently 3,694 RUMBLES and 12 RUMBLE spots sold. This comes out to be around 32 cents a RUMBLE (page views) in only 4-5 days. As this website gets more and more popular over time and more visitors are visiting The Rumble 5, the RUMBLE value will be decreasing significantly for all RUMBLE spot owners and with the guarantee of having this site for 10+ years, I estimate RUMBLES to be valued at a fraction of a penny!

Since the launch of this website, I've been getting out the word as much as possible such as press releases, articles, social networking and bookmarking sites, telling friends and people I know, returning phone calls to media agencies interested in The Rumble 5, and more. So far the traffic has tripled since launch (Thursday, December 11, 2008.) Today I am going to be getting the word out some more.

The Five Million Dollar Rumble (The Rumble 5) is released!

Thursday, December 11, 2008 8:41 am EST

Hello and welcome to The Five Million Dollar RUMBLE! My name is Gregory Rzeczko and I am on a quest to earn money for my start-up Soma Studios. Many of you may be wondering what this webpage is about. The idea is to earn five million dollars by selling RUMBLE spots at this webpage for $100 each. If you click on the "How Rumbling Works" link at the top frame to the right of the RUMBLE! button, a window should popup with the following two steps.

  • Webpage owners purchase RUMBLE spots to have their webpages RUMBLED.
  • Visitors visit The Five Million Dollar Rumble and RUMBLE webpages by just visiting or clicking on the RUMBLE! button.

You now may be wondering why would anyone purchase these RUMBLE spots. If you are a webpage owner and ever attempted to advertise your webpage, then you know how costly it can be to advertise online (from hundreds, to thousand of dollars and even lots more.) The Five Million Dollar Rumble offers these RUMBLE spots for only $100 each.

Now you may be asking yourself, "Why are visitors going to visit this webpage just to RUMBLE pages?" This is a good question. Usually when new ideas appear on the internet that are making money from a simple and somewhat "bizarre" idea that has not been attempted in the past most likely create a "buzz." People start to read about it on the internet, the news, and hear about it from word of mouth. Then out of curiosity, people tend to visit the webpage to see what it's all about. A great example is The Million Dollar Homepage. Selling pixels for only $1 each and making a cool million dollars. Why did this webpage succeed? Because it was a simple, new idea that stirred people's curiousity to see if Alex Tew, the creator of The Million Dollar Homepage, is really going to make one million dollars from his pixel selling idea. It turned out he did, and while people visited The Million Dollar Homepage, they clicked (and still do) on these "pixel ads" to check out these webpages.

What's unique about The Five Million Dollar Rumble (The Rumble 5) is that there are no ads to click. Visitors visit RUMBLE spot owners' webpages by visiting The Rumble 5 or by clicking on the RUMBLE! button. Your web browser then RUMBLES and a webpage appears at the bottom frame. You can see the results of how many RUMBLES these webpages receive by visiting the Owner List & Live Stats link at the top frame. If you like what you see and own a webpage, you can purchase as many RUMBLE spots as you like as long as they are available. The more spots you purchase, the more you increase your chances of having your webpage RUMBLED. This webpage is guaranteed for a minimum of 10 years with the goal of having it longer.

I came up with this idea while walking home one sunny day from a friend's house here in Brooklyn, NY. At this point of time, I had four websites released (all written from the ground-up) and a studio called Soma Studios, an interactive web and creative arts studio here in Brooklyn, NY. I will briefly describe each website, our current work, and future plans for Soma Studios later on in this blog entry. As I was walking home, I was thinking about The Music Hutch, a music website I released about two years ago. As days are going by, the site is becoming more and more popular with more and more visitors visiting the website each day and uploading music from all around the world. In order for The Music Hutch to handle more and more music uploads, it is going to require funding. Funding not only for music uploads, but for bandwidth (to handle more users;) upgrading and adding more features to the site (such as a member community, making the site much faster for users around the world, and convenient advertising methods to help pay for music royalty fees, bandwidth, and maintanence costs;) and servers. With all this in mind, I started thinking about ways to earn funds to make this happen. One good way to make money on the internet is through advertising. Thinking of a lot of websites that advertise and make money, I took two advertising ideas on the internet and put them into one. The Million Dollar Homepage plus StumbleUpon (a web browser extension for discovering websites where advertisers have the option to pay extra money to promote their website(s).) Put the two together and what do you get? The Million Dollar Stumble. As I arrived home, I told my roommate about this idea. He thought it was a good idea and worth a shot. I then started up my laptop and got right to work, with the help of my roommate whose a graphic designer. As I'm working on this website, the word stumble did not sound like a good fit. I thought of the word RUMBLE since it rhymes with stumble and sounded like a very good fit for my goal, and decided to get a little creative with it. I then made the web browser shake as it was RUMBLING. It needed a good RUMBLE sound, so I started up a sound editing application on my laptop and edited the RUMBLING sound you hear when RUMBLING webpages.

The next morning, I showed my roommate the new RUMBLING effect. We tested it out on a few speakers. It's at a low frequency, so you may not hear it on laptop speakers. If you have good subwoofers, it may RUMBLE your computer or laptop. At this point of time, it was called The Million Dollar Rumble. (We even thought about adding DRUMS to the RUMBLE and calling this site The Million Dollar Drumble, but then I gave it some thought and I really like the word RUMBLE so I decided to stick with it.)

You now may be wondering, "Where did the 5 come from?" That's another good question. A few days after working on The Million Dollar Rumble, I sat down and gave some thought of the possible start-up costs for Soma Studios. I thought, "If The Million Dollar Rumble succeeds, then Soma Studios will only have one million dollars for start-up cash, and if The Music Hutch traffic goes up by far because of The Million Dollar Rumble, one million dollars will not be able to handle the traffic it receives. I'm going to have to boost up the millions; this way if The Five Million Dollar Rumble succeeds, this money will be able to help me out in the beginning with server upgrades, as that is the goal for this website." If you have clicked on the "Where did the 5 come from?" link, there should be a popup of The Mach 5 from the legendary cartoon series Speed Racer. I originally thought of registering the domain name thefivemilliondollarrumble.com. It is a little long, so I came up with a shorter nickname, called The Rumble 5. After saying The Rumble 5 to myself, the first thing that came to my mind was The Mach 5, which is amazing because I think The Rumble 5 has a lot in common with The Mach 5, and one being SPEED!

As for Soma Studios and its present and future plans, there are four websites released as BETA (meaning they still need a lot of work, hence this website to acquire funds.) These four websites, The Music Hutch, Monster Blog Sack, CampusGrind, and Polski Domek are undergoing lots of work. I will briefly describe each website below with short descriptions.

The Music Hutch offers free space for anyone to upload music. Anyone may upload, search, browse, rate and listen to music and watch music videos, create a profile, browse & search members, and share music with friends; add songs and music videos to his or her The Music Hutch playlist & profile, webpage, blog, social network profile, etc. and more. Future plans are top music charts based on people's votes from around the world, musician artist profiles, equalizers, customizing The Music Hutch player skin, being able to create multiple playlists, ways on helping new artists be recognized, and much much more. Below my blog photo to the top right, I've constructed a music audio playlist from The Music Hutch, and below, a music video playlist.

Pop-Out

View Playlist

It may be possible The Music Hutch may be down due to high traffic or server upgrades. If so, I will post the status in this blog and at The Music Hutch.

Monster Blog Sack is a unique blog directory and community. The Monster Blog Sack toolbar (Currently FireFox 1.5+ only) allows you to randomly surf blogs (surf the sack) according to your categories of interest. You can sack, tag, share, add to favorites, and search for blogs. This website is currently in early BETA stages and requires a lot of work. Much is planned, and not only for blogs. Below this paragraph, you can see a Monster Blog Sack download button and at the bottom of this blog entry, a Sack This! button. The Monster Blog Sack download button installs the toolbar for your FireFox browser and the Sack This! button allows you to rate this blog using Monster Blog Sack's unique rating system. You may sack this blog in The Colossal Titan Diamond Cutter Sack, The Stainless Steel Sack, The Average Potato Sack, The Salty Peanut Sack, or The Wrinkled Droopy Sack. This allows other members to better surf blogs based on members' blog sacks. Future plans include improving the member community, surfing fresh blog entries that members sack, ways on earning money for blogging, and much more. The monster in the logo also has a name. His name is Thoghar the Monster. I have some neat ideas on making Thoghar the Monster come to life (no worries, he doesn't eat people.. just blogs, and on occasion, salty peanut snacks {especially ones that are roasted}; for now.) Monster Blog Sack may currently have a few bugs due to recent server upgrades. I will be working to get it fixed.
Monster Blog Sack Toolbar!

CampusGrind is an online social network for colleges currently in the United States (over 3,200 campuses nationwide.) This website is also in BETA and requires a lot of work. I've released this website with Wojciech Pirog, a good friend and colleague of mine, during my college years (back in 2004) with the focus of helping college students save money on textbooks and more. Much work is planned and the goal is to build a college/campus portal/social network for colleges everywhere.

Polski Domek is also an online social network where you may share photos and videos with friends, post blog entries, keep in touch with friends and family, and much more. This website is currently in Polish (and translates to English.) More languages and countries coming soon with future plans unlike any other social networking website on the internet.

While we have lots of work with the current BETA websites that are released, there is much work we have that is planned to be released in the near future.

I will be updating this blog from time to time with updates, status, and anything else having to do with this webpage and Soma Studios.

If you have any questions, please read the F.A.Q. If you have a question that is not in the F.A.Q., please contact me or ask your question in the discussion board or chat room.

I have setup a discussion board and chat room that can be accessed by anyone from the top frame. My roommate and I are both hosts for the chatroom. His nickname is krasnal and mine is GNice. If you see us in the chatroom, we should have a shield like symbol to the left of our nicknames. If you do not see these shield like symbols next to our nickname, they may be imposters.

Tom, my roommate, has invested $1,000 in RUMBLE spots (10 in all) for Soma Studios' webpages and his own (Evolution4.com). To view the amount of RUMBLES these webpages receive, you can visit the Owner List & Live Stats link at the top frame. If you like what you see, own a webpage, and would like to purchase these RUMBLE spots for yourself, click here.

Hope you enjoy!
